Solution-in-a-Box: Pre-Configured Switching for a Surveillance Network

A European system integrator deploying a national public-safety surveillance network needed field sites brought online by electrical contractors — with no network engineers on site. Standard component supply wasn’t an option: on distributed sites, a configuration error means a revisit, a schedule slip, and a security gap.

What was delivered

Twelve pre-engineered sites, delivered as ready-to-run units: 10 roadside cabinets (8-port industrial PoE+ switches in an ERPS G.8032 ring) and 2 aggregation sites (24-port PoE with 10G SFP+ uplinks). Every switch arrived with SFP modules installed, power pre-wired, patch cords cut to length and labeled per port, and a one-page start-up card — an installer wires by label, powers on, and walks away.

Why it mattered

Commissioning produced zero configuration-related revisits. For project buyers, this is where total deployment cost actually moves: hardware is only half of what we ship — configuration, testing, labeling, and documentation are the other half.

Full engineering documentation of this deployment model is available on request.
