Our Story

Why engineering first is a business model, not a slogan.

Most telecom hardware companies start with a product catalogue and work backwards to a story. Saga started differently: with a thesis about what clients in this market actually need, and why most vendors aren't able to deliver it.

The thesis is straightforward. Enterprise and carrier-edge switch buyers don't just need a box that passes traffic. They need a platform they can build on — firmware they can customize, a supply chain they can rely on when allocation gets tight, and a technical relationship that doesn't reset every time they launch a new product generation.

That means we focus on two chipset ecosystems — Marvell Prestera for access-layer switching, CENTEC for aggregation, core, and data center — and we go deep on both. We optimize feature sets continuously. We hold strategic buffer stock on key chipsets. We do firmware and management UI customization at a depth most suppliers won't touch.

The trade-off is transparency: we don't compete on every deal, and we're not the right partner for every buyer. Buffer stock held against key Marvell and CENTEC chipsets. Not speculative — planned against client demand forecasts and lifecycle position of each platform.

We track chipset lifecycle status actively. Clients are informed well ahead of EOL transitions so product roadmaps can be adjusted without emergency re-spins.

Inventory on hand means orders move quickly. For standard configurations, lead times are materially shorter than going direct to factory without buffer stock in place.

Global chip shortages hit unprepared supply chains hard. Our inventory position is the hedge against that — built deliberately over time, not scrambled for at spot-market prices.
